The focus of this booru is for censored hentai images, images of yourself or other people don't belong here.

I think the one earlier today was from a bot, advertising for some kind of camgirl due to it making accounts for individual images.

I'm aware that there's probably not a whole lot of customization features for Booru based sites, but is there not an option to require filling out a captcha to make an account?

Yeah I've noticed the pictures start to repeat, and they make a different account for each one. It's definitely some sort of scammer/spammer.

Unfortunately, there isn't much I can do from the admin panel. I could stop new account creation, maybe a possibility just until I can deal with this. But that might drive away potential new contributors, so I'm hesitant to do so this quickly.

Right now my plan is that if this keeps up too much longer I'll reach out to the booru.org admin to see if he has dealt with this before.

It's a bot for sure, but it's probably on the behalf of a scammer. I've heard from another Booru's admin that they've also been having trouble with the same thing advertising for the exact same person. However, they don't have a solution for the problem either.

My suggestion would be closing account creation for a short time and feature an image on the first page of the Booru's posts, explaining the situation to people who may not browse the forum and direct them to the 8ch thread and this forum for the time being. While that measure is taken, you can try searching around for a solution to the problem that doesn't require deleting an image each day, whether it be in the form of asking other Booru owners or the admin of booru.org.
